Bangladesh ever grateful to India: FM
Foreign Minister Dipu Moni said Bangladesh would remain ever grateful to India for its contribution to the War of Liberation in 1971.
She stated this when the visiting Indian State Minister for Defence Mangapati Pallam Raju paid a courtesy call on her at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in the city yesterday, said a press release.
He arrived in Dhaka at the invitation of the Bangladesh government to receive an award on behalf of Mitra Bahini, which will be given through a state reception today.
The Indian minister appreciated the Bangladesh government for paying tributes to the foreign friends who played a significant role in achieving the independence of Bangladesh.
