Angry readymade garment (RMG) workers vandalised vehicles and put up barricades on the road for around half-an-hour in C&B area in the port city yesterday morning following a brawl with some bus workers. Chandgaon Police Station Sub-Inspector Abul Kalam Azad said workers of MR Garments locked into a brawl over a complaint of a female worker of the factory to harass her sexually while traveling at around 10:00am. The garment workers, during the clash with the workers of reserved buses, put up barricades in the area and vandalised four or five vehicles, he said. The police station Sub-Inspector Md Mosharraf, quoting the woman's complaint, said a bus helper harassed her while she was getting down from the vehicle. But the helper denied such allegation, he added.
