Arms, ammo fair begins in Ctg

A three-day long Arms and Ammunition Display and Fair-2012 of Bangladesh Army began on Outer Stadium premises in the port city yesterday. The event is remaining open for all from 9:30am to 5:30pm. Chief of Army Staff General Mohammad Abdul Mubin inaugurated the display and fair. GOC of 24 infantry division and area commander of Chittagong, Major General Mohammed Ashabuddin and other high officials were present on the occasion. Arms and gadgets of army, light and heavy vehicles used by army, trench used during the war, unarmed combat, rappelling, building-climbing, different artilary gun, multi-barrel rocket luncher tube/tank and combined obstacle are being displayed. Mobile hospital, blood group screening, goods made by Sena Poribar Kalyan Samity, information and video about Liberation War and Chittagong hill tracts, information and activities of Bangladesh Army in peace keeping mission around the world and army musical instrument are also being displayed in the fair.
