Ctg drama festival begins today
A seven-day drama festival titled “Basanta Natya Utsab” will begin at Theatre Institute, Chittagong (TIC) in the port city today.
"Ritu Bhittik Natya Mela Parishad" is arranging the programme in association with Indian Assistant High Commission, Chittagong.
The programme will feature discussion on drama, street theatre, Tagore songs, poetry recitals, exhibition, dance, and workshop.
Having been arranged since 1991 in the port city, this festival this year is dedicated to poet Rabindranath Tagore on the occasion of his 150th birth anniversary.
Poet Arun Dasgupta will inaugurate the festival as chief guest while writer Ferdous Ara Alim and Indian Assistant High Commissioner Somnath Ghosh will be present as special guests.
