Youth dies from electrocution
A youth died after being electrocuted as he was fixing a banner to an electric pole in Khulshi Police Station area in the port city yesterday.
The victim, Mohammad Russel, 22, was son of Saleh Ahmed of Fakir Para under Bayezid Police Station.
Police said Russel came in touch with a live electric wire while working at the electric pole in front of SA Paribahan office in No-2 Gate area under around 8:00am.
He was declared dead in Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) at about 8:30am.
