SCBA polls begin today
The two-day annual election of the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) for its 14 executive posts, including president and secretary, will begin today.
The polling will take place from 10:00am to 5:00pm with lunch break from 1:00pm to 2:00pm.
A total of 3,829 lawyers of the Supreme Court (SC) have registered as voters in the polls where three panels are contesting.
The panels are ruling Awami League-backed Sammilita Ainjibi Samannaya Parishad (SASP), the opposition BNP-backed Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Ainjibi Oikya Parishad (JAOP) and neutral Niropekkho Ainjibi Oikya Parishad (NAOP).
