Six killed in road accidents
Six people were killed and nine others injured in separate road accidents in Gopalganj, Chittagong, Pabna and Dinajpur yesterday.
A correspondent from Gopalganj reports: At least three people were killed and seven others injured when a human hauler collided head-on with a pick-up van at Tilchhara in Kashiani upazila of the district yesterday morning.
Identities of the victims could not be known immediately.
The injured were undergoing treatment at Narail Sadar Hospital.
In Chittagong, Shamsul Haque, 55, son of Abdul Khalek, hailing from Mirsarai upazila, was killed as a bus hit a CNG-run auto-rickshaw before Mir Community Centre in the upazila yesterday.
Our Pabna correspondent says: Md Abdul Goni, 60, was killed as a motorbike hit him at Boroichora village in Ishwardi upazila of the district yesterday noon.
In Dinajpur, Biswanath Roy, 65, died and two others injured as an oil tanker rammed a three-wheeler on Parbatipur-Rangpur road at Tulshipukur in Parbatipur upazila at around 2:30pm yesterday.
Injured Taroni Kanta Roy, 75, and Md Bachchu Mia were admitted to Parbatipur Upazila Health Complex.
