JSC asked to fill vacant posts
President Zillur Rahman yesterday asked the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to fill up the vacant posts in the judicial service through holding fair examinations.
The president gave the directive when a JSC delegation, led by its Chairman Supreme Court Justice Surendra Kumer Sinha, met him at Bangabhaban.
During the meeting, the delegation presented the commission's annual report to the president and apprised him of their various problems in discharging their duties.
They sought the president's cooperation in formulating necessary rules for the commission, allocating a land for its permanent office, recruiting adequate manpower and ensuring transports for them.
Zillur assured them of his all-out support and cooperation in this regard.
