Fire guts Jaijaidin printing presses
A fire gutted some printing presses and papers in the building housing the Bangla daily Jaijaidin in the city's Tejgaon Industrial area yesterday.
Fire brigade sources said they and the daily's staff doused the flames, originating from an electric short circuit on the ground floor of the three-storied building at 6:25pm, in around an hour.
The daily's officials said today's issue would be published.
