Kabir Chowdhury's birthday today
Today is the 90th birth anniversary of late National Professor Kabir Chowdhury, an author and a pioneer in the movement against fundamentalism. On the occasion, various social and cultural organisations will organise different programmes today. Forum for Secular Bangladesh and Trial of War Criminals of 1971 will organise a discussion at Bangladesh Institute of Law and International Affairs (BILIA) auditorium in the city's Dhanmondi, where Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith will be present as the chief guest. He was born in 1923 in Brahmanbaria and died on December 13 in 2011.
