4 held while crossing Hili border
At least four people, including a minor boy, were held at Hili border of Hakimpur upazila in Dinajpur yesterday while crossing the border to enter India illegally, according to the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) sources.
The arrestees were identified as Biswajit Bhowmik, 29, son of Chitta Ranjan, Suresh Chandra, 45, son of Jagen Chandra, Dijendranath Roy, 37, and his son Bipul Roy, 12.
All of them are from Mohanpur village in Bochaganj upazila of the district.
Habildar Khorsed Alam, Hili check post in-charge, said the BGB men of the Hili port area arrested them from the port area at around 3:30pm while they were trying to cross into Indian territory.
