World Wetlands Day today
The World Wetlands Day will be celebrated across the globe today with this year's theme of “Wetlands and Tourism”.
Every year, the day is observed with a call to conserve water bodies and related natural resources from the onslaught of degradation and depletion.
On the occasion, different organisations have chalked out befitting programmes.
The Forum of Environ-mental Journalists of Bangladesh (FEJB), Bangladesh Poush, and IUCN Bangladesh will jointly celebrate the day.
The three internationally reputed organisations jointly organise a discussion titled "Wetlands and Tourism" at Jatiya Press Club at 10:00am today.
Environment experts and media representatives will join the discussion.
