Seminar on fine arts held in Ctg
The second day of celebration of forty years of fine arts in the district ended yesterday.
As part of the three-day programme, a seminar on “Four Decades of Practicing Fine Arts in Chittagong: Modernisation, Uniqueness and Aesthetic Sense”, organised by Forty Years of Fine Arts in Chittagong Celebration Council, was held at the Institute of Fine Arts, Chittagong University.
Artiste Sabih-ul-Alam, the first principal of Chittagong Art College, presided over the seminar while Syed Abdul Wazed, a Ph.D research fellow of the institute, presented the keynote paper.
Prof Abul Mansur, Abul Momen, the first vice-principal of the art college and Dr Fayezul Azim also spoke at the event.
