IGP given status of senior secy
The government has upgraded the post of Inspector General of Police (IGP) to that of a senior secretary.
A government order (GO) was issued in this connection yesterday, said AKM Kamrul Ahsan, spokesman of the Police Headquarters.
The letter signed by Deputy Secretary for Home Dipak Kanti Pal stated that now the salary scale of IGP will be Tk 42,000.
On January 9, the government promoted eight secretaries to the rank of senior secretaries introducing such posts of its kind.
