Info minister tells condolence meet
Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Abul Kalam Azad yesterday said late National Prof Kabir Chowdhury remained vigilant against all evil forces during his lifetime.
Azad said Kabir Chowdhury was in the frontline to implement the verdict of the 'gano adalat' formed for the trial of war criminals under the leadership of Shaheed Janani Jahanara Imam.
The minister was addressing the condolence meeting on Kabir Chowdhury at Jatiya Press Club in the city.
Bangladesh Karmasangsthan Sangstha organised the meeting with its acting president Prof Abdul Latif in the chair.
Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique and Dhaka University Teachers' Association President Prof M Anwar Hossain addressed the meeting as the special guests.
