Reshuffle in local admin
In a major reshuffle in the local administration, the government recently changed 10 deputy commissioners (DC) and three additional deputy commissioners (ADC).
Anal Chandra Das, deputy commissioner of Local Government Division, has been made DC of Pirojpur; Khandaker Mustafizur Rahman, chief executive office of Jhalakathi District Council as Bhola DC; Nurul Islam, personal secretary to housing and public works minister, as Gazipur DC; Zafar Ullah, chief executive officer of Pabna district administration as Natore DC; Zakir Hossain, deputy director of government printing press as Sherpur DC.
Dr Anwar Hossain Hawlader, deputy project director of Urban Primary Health Care Project (Phase 2) has been made Satkhira DC; KM Tariqul Islam, deputy director (local government), divisional commissioner's office, Dhaka as Bandarban DC.
Khaja Abdul Hannan, deputy secretary of health and family planning ministry, has been made Jhenidah DC; Sarwar Mahmud, deputy secretary of housing and public works ministry as Bogra DC and Dr Shah Alam, deputy director of road division as Chapainawabganj DC, according to a circular issued on January 16.
Meanwhile, Mojaffar Ahmed, additional DC of Naogaon, has been attached to the public administration ministry for further posting; Dr ANM Bazlur Rashid, upazila nirbahi officer, Charghat, as Naogaon DC; Khan Md Reza Un Nabi, upazila nirbahi officer, Keshabpur, as Meherpur ADC; and Begum Israt Zaman, upazila nirbahi officer, Bandarban sadar as Madaripur ADC.
Moreover, Nazibul Islam, chief executive officer of Chuadanga district administration, has been made secretary of Barendra Bohumukhi Unnayan Katripakkhya in Rajshahi.
