Outlaw found dead in Khulna
A leader of an outlawed party was found dead at a road at Aronghata in the city yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Monirul Islam, 45, operation commander of Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Janajuddha faction and son of Mokhtar Hossain of Shiromoni area under Khanjahan Ali police station.
Being informed by local people, police recovered the body and sent it to Khulna Medical College and Hospital morgue for autopsy.
The body bore several injury marks, OC Anwarul Haque Bhuiyan of Daulatpur PS said.
Police said Monir was a listed criminal, wanted in at least 20 cases including for murders and regional leader of the outfit.
Monirul went out of his father's house on Saturday night following a phone call and remained missing since then.
