School kid drowns
A 10-year-old boy drowned in a river at Parla village in Sadar upazila on Friday. The deceased was identified as Shamim Ahmed, a class IV student of a local BRAC school and son of Enamul Haque Biswas of the village. Family sources said, Shamim along with his friends went to Noboganga River for a dip in the morning and at one stage went missing. Later, local farmers found his body floating in the river in the afternoon and informed his family members who recovered the body.
