Outlaw jailed
A tribunal here on Tuesday sentenced an underground operative to seven years imprisonment in an arms case.
The court fined the convict, Abdur Rob, 38, son of Ashraf Ali of Zianagar upazila in Pirojpur district, Tk 10,000, in default he is suffer another one year in jail.
Police arrested the outlaw at a house adjacent to Goalmat High School in Kachua upazila on April 27, 2004 and recovered four bullets and four Chinese axes from his possession.
They (police) later filed a case against him under the Arms Act.
After hearing, tribunal judge Abu Shamim Azad pronounced the verdict.
