12 robbers arrested
Police in separate drives arrested 12 robbers in Sonargaon upazila on Monday night and early morning.
Acting on a tip-off, a team of Sonargaon police challenged an engine-run trawler in Meghna River on Monday night and arrested 11 robbers.
The arrestees are Rubel, Sumon, Faruk, Mamun, Ainul, Aminul Haque, Sumon, Hridoy, Azizul, Anwar and Rubel Mia.
In another drive, police arrested a robber named Alamin at Kanchpur Bongal area early yesterday.
