Suicide
A housewife allegedly committed suicide yesterday afternoon by jumping under a running train in Sodanandapur station area near the Bangabandhu Bridge in Sadar upazila of the district.
The deceased was identified as Pushpita, 42, wife of Rafiqul Islam of Nagorpur in Tangail district.
Witnesses and local sources said at around 3:30pm a Burkha-clad woman jumped under the wheels of Dinajpur-bound Inter-city train 'Ekota Express'.
