Three schoolboys rescued: 4 held

Police rescued three schoolboys from Dhaka and Chittagong on Tuesday and Monday night and brought them to Pathorghata on Friday evening. Sujon, 14, Masum, 13, and Kabir,14, were kidnapped on July 27 from Baraital area under Pathorghata upazila in Barguna district. Police also arrested 4 alleged kidnappers. They are--leader of the gang Sahin, 35, Jahangir, 30, Sahidul Islam, 32 and Shah Alam, 30. Of them, Sahin comes from Mathbaria upazila under Pirojpur district while the rest from Pathorghata upazila in Barguna district. GM Shah Newaz, OC (Investigation) of Pathorghata police station said, a few days ago Sahin came to his brother-in-law Jahangir's house in Pathorghata town. Sahin along with three others kidnapped Sujon, son of Shahjahan Jomaddar, Masum, son of Sohrab Hossain and Kabir, son of Badsha Khan in the name of taking them to India. Police later arrested Jahangir, Sahidul Islam and Shah Alam from their houses on July 28 and on their confession arrested Sahin. Later they rescued Sujon from Chittagong town on Monday night and the other two schoolboys Masum and Kabir from Dhaka city on Tuesday night.
