2 oulaws held in Pabna, Barisal
Two outlaws were arrested in Pabna and Barisal districts yesterday and the day before.
A top outlaw belonging to banned Purba Banglar Communist Party (PBCP) Red Flag faction was held from Baoikola village of Ataikula in Pabna early yesterday, reports our correspondent.
Chatmohar police caught him in an hour-long drive, police said.
Arrestee Md Abdur Rashid, 30, son of Md Sirajul Islam of village Dublapara in Chatmohar upazila is the 'regional leader' of PBCP Red Flag faction and accused in 5 criminal cases including for murder, police said.
Officer in-charge of Chatmohar police station Md Habibul Islam said, acting on a tip-off, police raided a house at Baoikola village early yesterday and caught him on the spot.
He was hiding there for the last few months, the OC said. The arrestee was sent to jail yesterday.
In Barisal, Rab arrested an activist of outlawed Sarbahara Party along with a firearm from Narayanpur village in Uzirpur upazila early Friday.
The arrestee was identified as Hafizur Rahman Khan Bachchu, 50, reports UNB.
Acting on secret information, a team of Rab-8 raided the house of Bachchu late at night and arrested him with a pistol and two bullets.
Rab said Bachchu is the brother of Mahbubur Rahman Khan Badal alias 'Kana' Badal and Saidur Rahman Khan Nannu, regional leaders of Sarbahara Zia Group.
