Human chain in Rangamati town
Students of different high and primary schools and Manabadhiker Tathya Parjabekkhan Society yesterday morning formed a 'human chain' in front of deputy commissioner's office in the town demanding arrest and punishment of the culprits who raped a physically challenged girl.
On December 26, 2010, a 12-year-old girl and student of class five at Police Line Primary School in the town was violated by four youths.
Police arrested the four and the gang leader Jonaid who was later released on bail. Junaid is now threatening to throw acid on the victim and her family.
