Lightning kills three
Three people were killed by lightening in the district yesterday and on Monday night.
Lightning killed a man and injured 12 others at Gharialkha village under Mithapukur upazila at around 8:00am.
The dead was identified as Sumon, 17. Identity of the injured could not be known. They were struck by lightning while fishing in a water body at the village.
Another incident occurred at Ghagatari village under Gangachara upazila at around 10:30am. Mohubar Rahman, 30, was killed and four others were injured by lightening while working on their cropland.
A villager was killed in the same incident at Pattanerhat under Badreganj upazila at around 11:00pm on Monday. The victim was identified as Mahbub Hossain.
