50 hurt as villagers clash
At least 50 people were injured, 10 of them seriously, in a clash between two groups of people over establishing supremacy at Mathpara village under Rajoir upazila on Wednesday. Following a scuffle between two villagers named Rezaul Karim and Alamgir Sheikh, their supporters equipped with lethal weapons attacked each others, leaving 50 people from both sides injured. On information, police rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control. The injured were admitted to Rajoir Upazila Health Complex.
