Woman 'kidnapper' arrested
A woman was held on charge of kidnapping a schoolgirl in Bonpara bazaar area under Baraigram upzaila yesterday morning. Arrestee Ruma Akter, 27, is daughter of Rabiul Islam of Masinda Charpara village under Gurudaspur upazila. Police and witnesses said, Ruma went to St Joseph Primary School introducing herself as an aunt of Pranty Rozario and kidnapped the girl. The girl's neighbour Shohel Rozario saw Pranty with an unknown woman and caught her red-handed. Later she was handed over to police.
