Tragic death of medical student in Faridpur

A female student of Faridpur Medical College (FMC) met a tragic death as an end of her long scarf got wrapped around the wheel of the auto rickshaw that was carrying her near Faridpur Medical College Hospital (FMCH) in the town on Monday. The victim is Rubina Parveen, 20, a second year student of FMC, and daughter of Abdul Haque of Chandpur village under Burichong upazila in Comilla district, college sources said. "Rubina fainted as the scarf of her neck got wrapped around a wheel of the auto-rickshaw on which we were going to the college library in the town campus from the medical college hospital," said Rubina's classmate Sabrina Afroj, who was also on the same auto-rickshaw during the incident. She was immediately admitted to FMCH and later shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the attending doctor declared her dead at around 8:30pm, Sabrina added.
