4 houses gutted in fire
Four houses were gutted in a fire which broke out at Bilpuli village in Saturia upazila Friday afternoon. Locals said the fire originated from the kitchen of Abul Kashem of the village at about 3pm and soon engulfed the four adjacent houses. Local people doused the fire after an hour of frantic efforts. The affected house owners claimed that the extent of loss caused by the fire could go up to Tk 4 lakh.
