280 saplings destroyed in Natore
Criminals destroyed around 280 mango and mahogany saplings at Shukulpatti area under Sadar upazila of the district on Wednesday night.
Shamsul Islam Jewel, brother of Sirajul Islam said, his brother Sirajul bought 80 decimal of land at a point between Shibdur village and Islamibari village and planted 200 mango and 80 mahogany saplings.
On Wednesday night, a gang of criminals entered his garden and destroyed all the saplings with sharp weapons causing an estimated loss of Tk 2 lakh.
