'LeT co-ordinator' chargesheeted in Narayanganj
Siddhirganj police yesterday submitted charge sheet in the case filed against alleged Bangladesh coordinator of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) Maulana Mohammad Imran.
Investigation officer, also sub-inspector of Siddhirganj police station Md Shahjahan submitted the charge sheet before the Chief Judicial Magistrate Court in the afternoon.
The charge sheet was submitted under Anti-Terrorism Act.
A team of Rab-11 arrested Maulana Imran, 43, Bangladesh coordinator of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), a Pakistan-based militant organisation from Madaninagar village under Siddirganj upazila of the district on September 30, this year.
A huge amount of fake foreign currency, one mobile phone set, books on Jihad and fake passports were seized from his possession.

With Bombs
Meanwhile, a Rab-8 team in Patuakhali camp seized four bombs and two axes and arrested a youth who identified himself as a member of Allar Dal on Wednesday mid night from Jalisha village under Dulmki upazila, reports our correspondent.
The arrestee was identified as Zahir Howlader, 35, son of Alauddin Howlader of Bakherganj upazila in Barisal district.
Kazi Shamsher Uddin, company commander of Rab-8 said that a Rab team while patrolling the area at about 11:00 pm found a youth standing with a bag by the roadside.
Sensing presence of Rab, the youth tried to flee through a paddy land. At this the Rab team challenged him and later found four hand bombs and two local made axes inside his bag.
Zahir confessed to Rab and local journos at the Rab camp that he is an active member of Allar Dal and he received bombs from one Jasim,40, of Savar in Dhaka to hand over it to Farid of Bhashan Char of Muladi in Barisal district.
Shafiqul of Narayanganj, also a member of the party, made the bomb, Zahir disclosed.
A case was filed with Dumki police station under the Arms Act in this regard.
Zahir was sent to Patuakhali court which sent him to the jail.
