13 jailed in India for intrusion return home

Thirteen Bangladeshi nationals who went to India illegally were sent back on Sunday through Sonamasjid immigration check post of Shibganj upazila. All of them were jailed on different terms in Malda district of West Bengal. Indian immigration police handed them over to the Bangladesh immigration police in presence of Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) and Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at 11:00am. They were identified as Kayes Sheikh, son of Najir Hossain of Jaminpur village, Tabjul Sheikh, son of late Hazrat Ali and Based Sheikh, son of Mohsin Ali of Parchouka village under Shibganj upazila, Shyamol Das, son of Tapan Das and Nagen Rishi, son of Mahenmdra Rishi of Rohonpur Bazar under Gomostapur upazila in Chapainawabganj district, Parimol Chandra Roy, son of late Durga Chandra Roy of Ganjarchar upazila of Rangpur district, Shukuruddin, son of late Kalim Uddin of Alladipur village under Sapahar upazila and Jamini Oran, wife of Sanchu Oran, Joymoni Oran, wife of Rabindra Oran, Budhini Oran, wife of Buddhu Oran, Shefali Oran, daughter of Kanu Oran, Aninta Oran, son of Sanchu Oran and Bharati Oran, daughter of Jagannath Oran of Paschim Deolia village under Porsha upazila in Naogaon district. The immigration police later handed them over to their relatives in presence of BDR officials. Meanwhile, BDR members arrested nine people while entering into the country from India illegally through Doulatpur frontier at Ramkrishnapur village early Friday, reports UNB. The arrestees were identified as Sadequl Islam, 35, Jamal Uddin, 32, Matiur Rahman, 28, Hakim Uddin, 30, of Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj, Abdul Barek, 32, Aktarul, 25, of Porsha upazila in Naogaon, Waliullah, 30, Rubel Rana, 20, of Sunamganj and Amin Uddin, 25, of Doulatpur upazila in Kushtia. Later, BDR handed them over to Doulatpur police station. A case was filed in this connection. On November 23, Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) personnel arrested 25 people, including women and children, for entering into the country illegally from India through Boroanchra border in Jessore, reports a Benapole correspondent. The arrestees are Kamal Hossain, 30, Jyotsna Begum, 21, Jahanara Begum, 45, Jahanara Khatun, 36, Jharna Khatun, 25, Sujan Biswas, 24, Lucky Biswas, 18, Rafiqul, 24, Obejan Begum, 65, Amulya Sarkar, 45, Javed Mia, 32, Morium Begum, 28, Sonia, 11, Robi, 9, Bijon Chowdhury, 60, Krishna Rani, 40, Tahmina Begum, 37, Jakir Hossain, 35, Arejul Mondol, 40, Rahima Mondol, 30, Hossain Ali, 30, Tuhin, 11, Nazrul Islam, 30, Arifa Bibi, 26, and Mahfuza Bibi, 21. They hail from different areas of Jessore, Dhaka, Chittagong, Pirojpur, Narail and Magura districts. Acting on a tip-off, the border guards raided the area at 5:00pm and arrested them as they had no valid documents. Later, the BDR handed them over to Benapole police. A case was filed with Benapole police station.
