Valuables looted
Burglars looted cash and gold ornaments from a businessman's house in launch ghat area of the district town on Wednesday noon. Abdul Aziz, owner of the house, said he along with his family members went out for his son's primary terminal examination in the morning and kept the main gate locked. When he returned home at around 1:00pm, he found the main gate and door of the house broken. He said the burglars took away 8 tolas of gold ornament and Tk 2 lakh by breaking open his almirah. On information, police visited the spot.
