Snatched tender documents recovered
Police yesterday recovered all the 41 tender documents snatched on Wednesday from a nearby place of Shibganj upazila municipality office.
The officer-in-charge of Shibganj police station, Abu Mokaddem Ali said, acting Mayor Ruhul Amin filed a case accusing 5 to 6 people including previously arrested Shiul, 25.
Locals said, applications were invited from listed contractors to construct the 150-meter sewage in the municipality area with a minimum cost of Tk 8.42 lakh, but BNP leader Ibrahim Ali's men snatched the tender box after failing to get the work on Wednesday.
When asked, Ibrahim Ali said the allegation made against him is not true and he does not have licence of Shibganj municipality.
Acting Mayor Ruhul Amin said party identity of any of the accused is yet to be identified but Shiul claimed himself to be a BNP worker.
