Two outlaws arrested
Two members of outlawed organisations were arrested in Jhenidah and Savar yesterday and the day before.
Police arrested a member of Janajuddah faction of outlawed PBCP from his house under Harinakundu upazila in Jhenidah yesterday, reports our correspondent.
The arrestee is Faruk Sardar, 38, son of Afsar Sardar of Poltadanga village.
Officer-in-charge (OC) Jahangir Alam of Harinakundu police station said, on secret information they raided Poltadanga village and arrested him from his house.
He is accused in five cases including murder filed with Harinakundu, Islamic varsity police station, Kumarkhali and Alamdanga police stations.
On Monday, police arrested a fugitive outlaw from Asulia area in Savar.
The arrestee is identified as Mizanur Rahman Mizan, 38, son of Munsur Sheikh of Bagmara area of Rupsha upazila in Khulna.
Police said, Mizan, a cadre of Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML), went into hiding and had been running business of video games in Ashulia.
Acting on secret information, police raided his house and arrested him. He was later remanded for further interrogation.
Police said he was wanted in a number of cases including murder.
