Arms recovered, 2 arrested
Police arrested two criminals along with two shutter guns and five rounds of bullet from a bus in Signboard area in Daulatdia upazila on Monday.
The arrestees were identified as Saidul Islam Ziku, 23 and Uttam Kumar Sutradhar of Belnagar and Parnanduali villages in Sadar upazila of Magura district.
Police said searching a Dhaka bound bus of Eagle Paribahan they recovered the firearms and bullets from the a bag of the criminals.
The arrestees said they were taking those to Dhaka for sale.
In Brahmanbaria, police arrested a man along with fake notes of Tk 11,900 at Singarbil bazar in Bijoynagar upazila Monday noon.
Police said when Alamgir Mia, 25, of Mukandpur village, went to change a fake note of Tk 500 at Singarbil bazar local people caught him on suspicion and handed him over to police at noon.
Police recovered fake notes of Tk 11,900 after searching his body.
