3 accused arrested from capital city

Three accused in Boraigram upazila chairman Sanaullah Noor Babu murder case were arrested from Manik Mia Avenue at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar in the capital on Monday. Natore DB police aided by police in the capital city arrested Mohammad Badsha, Ashraful Islam Mithu and Lutfur Rahman at night. Mithu is a cousin of main accused KM Zakir Hossain, a former leader of Natore district Awami League. The arrestees were later brought to the district from Dhaka. Police produced the three before a local court yesterday but the hearing was not held on the day. Court sources said the hearing might be held today. Babu, also a BNP leader, was beaten to death by criminals at Bonpara Bazar here on October 8. Babu's wife Mohua Noor Kochi filed a case against 47 people on October 9. With these three, so far five accused have been arrested in connection with the murder. Police on October 10 arrested Russel Hossain Rappu, a BCL leader, as an accused.
