Girl commits 'suicide,' young man found dead
Police recovered bodies of a young man and a girl from separate places in Sylhet and Rajbari districts on Sunday.
In Sylhet, police recovered the body of a young girl from her sister's house at Bashatgaon village in Sadar upazila in the evening, reports UNB.
The deceased was identified as Morium Begam, 20, daughter of late Abdus Sattar of Ramdhana village in Biswanath upazila.
Locals said after the death of her father two years ago Morium used to live with her elder sister at nearby Bashatgaon village.
Family sources said getting no response at noon after knocking the door of the room of the victim which was closed from inside they informed the police.
Later, police broke open the door and recovered the hanging body of Morium at about 1:00pm. The reason behind the suicide could not be known.
In Rajbari, floating body of an unidentified young man was recovered from the river Padma at Doulotdia ferry ghat in Goalanda upazila in the morning.
Police said locals found the body of the young man, aged about 35, that bore injury marks and informed them at about 10:00am.
Police suspected that criminals killed the young man following a previous enmity.
