Robbers loot arms from ansars
Robbers looted two rifles and ten bullets injuring two Ansar members at a factory at Jamaldi village in Gozaria upazila early yesterday.
The injured were identified as Nuruzzaman, 35, and Julhash, 25.
Officer-in-charge of Gozaria police station said a gang of 10-15 armed robbers coming in an engine boat swooped on the duty Ansars of the factory of Square Electronics located on the bank of Meghna River.
As the Ansars tried to resist them the gang hacked them indiscriminately and took away their rifles.
The injured were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital where condition of Nuruzzaman was stated to be critical.
On information, police raided different areas of the village and recovered one of the looted rifles from 200 yards off the factory and around 11am in abandoned condition.
