Seven bombs, two guns recovered
Members of the Rapid Action Battalion recovered seven bombs, one shutter gun, one pistol and two bullets in separate drive in two upazilas of Jhenidah district on Sunday night.
Acting on a tip-off, a Rab team raided Chitashal intersection under Sadar upazila where a gang of criminals were holding a "secret" meeting at around 10:30pm.
Sensing the presence of the elite force, the gang managed to flee. The Rab men recovered seven bombs, one pistol and two bullets from the spot.
In another drive, Rab members recovered one shutter gun from a place at Sheikhpara Bazar under Shailkupa upazila at around 11:00pm.
