Drugs worth Tk 5.80 cr destroyed
Bangladesh Rifles (BDR) destroyed illegal drugs worth Tk 5.80 crore at Sarail upazila headquarters Thursday evening.
BDR sources said they destroyed the drugs that they seized in separate drives from May 6 to September 30 this year.
A discussion meeting was held before destruction of the drugs at the camp of Rifles battalion-1. BDR Comilla Sector Commander Col SM Farhad was present as chief guest.
The meeting was addressed, among others, by Brahmanbaria Deputy Commissioner Abdul Mannan, Habiganj Deputy Commissioner Mahmud Hassan and Habiganj Police Superintendent Zillur Rahman.
