15 shops gutted
At least 15 shops were gutted in a fire at Laldove Bazar under Dakope upazila early yesterday. Witnesses said the fire originated from the stove of a shop at the bazar at around 12:15am and soon engulfed the adjoining 14 shops. Local people extinguished the blaze after an hour. The affected shop owners claimed that cash and valuables worth Tk 25 lakh were gutted in the fire.
