Trader found dead at hotel
Police recovered the body of a trader from a hotel room in the city's Kadomtali area on Saturday night. The deceased was identified as Nure Alam, 24, son of Ayub Ali of Madahabdi under Narsingdi Sadar upazila. Police said Alam, a cloth trader, came to Sylhet on business purpose on Friday night and booked a room at Hotel Toufique. Seeing the room shut for hours together on Saturday, the hotel manager informed kotwali police who broke open the door at around 8:00pm found the body of the boarder hanging from a ceiling fan.
