Feuding Rajshahi AL groups sue 116
At least six cases were filed with Bagha Police Station against 116 people in connection with the clashes between two factions of local AL unit on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Bagha Municipality Mayor Akkas Ali, upazila BCL General Secretary Mamunur Rahman and college teacher Abu Bakar Siddik are among the accused.
Two cases were filed by Swechchhasebok League leader Layeb Uddin Lablu group while the rest four by Akkas group.
Akkas group's Zakir Hossain Sumon accused eight people and Zillur Rahman accused 10 people. Mamunur Rahman of Layeb group was accused in the two cases.
Layeb group's Mominul Islam accused Akkas Ali, Abu Bakar Siddik and 26 others for beating up the upazila AL General Secretary Mozammel Haq while Shahidul Islam accused 22, Zahangir Hossain accused 22 and Sanwar Hossain accused 26 people.
Aminur Rahman, officer-in-charge Bagha Police Station said most of the accused in the cases have gone into hiding.
