World's first computer

Horst Zuse, son of German computer pioneer Konrad Zuse, poses for the media next to a reconstruction of the Z 1 computer, the world's first computer, during the opening of an exhibition at the German Museum of Technology in Berlin on September 7. The original Z 1 computer was destroyed during a bombing raid over Berlin in World War II, but was reconstructed by Konrad Zuse himself and is part of the exhibition "Konrad Zuse and the Dawn of the Information Age", marking the hundredth anniversary of Konrad Zuse's birth.
