Rab recovers 8 bombs in Jhenidah
Eight live bombs were recovered from Kuthidurgapur village in Sadar upazila on Tuesday midnight.
Following a tip-off, Rab members raided the village and recovered the bombs from inside a house in an abandoned condition.
A bag containing a few leaflets of outlawed Purbo Banglar Communist Party (ML-Janajuddho faction) was also recovered from the spot during the raid.
In Goalanda, a man was arrested along with arms from a bus at Daulatdia launch ghat early yesterday, reports UNB.
The arrestee was identified as Selim Reza, 27, son of M Karim Sardar, of Nalia village in Sadar upazila of Jessore.
Alinur Hossain, Officer-in-Charge of Goalanda PS said, acting on secret information. a patrol team of police searched the Hanif Paribahan bus at the ghat coming from Satkhira district and arrested Selim.
Later, they recovered a foreign made pistol, two magazines and two rounds of bullet from his possession.
