Missing boy found dead
Body of a missing teenage boy was recovered from the bank of Mahananda river at Mushrivuja-Bindupara village in Bholahat upazila on Tuesday.
The deceased was identified as Abdus Sabur, 18, son of Tajammul of Shikari village in the upazila.
Bholahat thana SI Mozammel Haque said Sabur went missing since Saturday. Local people found the body in the morning and informed the police.
Later, police recovered the body at about 4pm and sent it to Sadar hospital morgue for autopsy. The reason behind the murder could not be known. A case was filed.
Another report Satkhira adds: Police recovered the decomposed body of a domestic worker from the nearby orchard of his house master at Baruihati village in Tala upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased was identified as Arafat Raihan, 12, son of Yunus Ali of Koira village no.1 in Koira upazila.
Police quoting local people said Arafat had been working as a domestic help in the house of Abdul Bari Biswas for last seven months.
Abu Bakar Siddiq, Officer-in-Charge (O/C) of Tala thana said, Arafat went to Tala town on Saturday noon and since then he remained missing.
Later, local people found his decomposed body at about 11 am in the orchard and informed police.
Police sent the body to hospital morgue for autopsy.
