Sugar mills workers agitate
Workers of Mohimaganj Sugar Mills yesterday brought out a procession and confined the general manager (admin) to his room for an hour demanding recruitment of workers from freedom fighters' quota. Some workers met the general manager in the morning and urged him to recruit workers from freedom fighters' quota. As the GM failed to convince the workers, they became agitated and confined the GM to his office room. Later, leaders of Chinikal Sramik-Karmochari Union intervened into the matter and pacified the agitating workers who brought out a procession and paraded the main road in the area. General Manager Baheruddin said he will send a letter to the authorities concerned, seeking a decision on the matter.
