61 live sea turtles recovered, one held
Police recovered 61 live sea turtles from the possession of a businessman on Wednesday afternoon in Nirala residential area in Khulna.
The businessman, later arrested by police, was identified as Delwar Hossain.
OC Munirul Gias of Khulna Sadar police station said that the recovered sea turtles were released in a canal at Harintana under Batiaghata upazila of Khulna district at 7:30pm on the same day by order of Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Md. Barekuzzaman.
