Five frauds arrested
Police arrested five frauds of an inter-district gang along with 13 fake gold bars from Natunhat area of the town on Saturday. The arrestees are Babu, 26, Selim, 25, Masud, 28, Asad, 24, and Sumon, 27, hailed from Kashiadanga Adorsha Gram village in Rajpara police station area of Rajshahi. Police said local people caught red handed rickshaw-puller Sumon when he was cheating an old woman giving her a fake gold bar in CO Colony area. He was handed over to police after a mob beating. Later, on the basis of his confessional statement police arrested four others of the gang from a rented house in the Natunha area and recovered the fake gold bars.
